1. What is your object and how did it come to be in your possession?
Photo taken on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the New Hampshire Highland Games. When we arrived that morning to attend the opening ceremony my husband and I went to the Macpherson tent to see if they needed assistance with marching. As it turns out they did so I offered to march. I was thrilled!

2. Why have you chosen this object for the Macphersoniana project?
I thought it would be a nice addition to the project, because for me personally it represents a sense of pride and honor to be part of the MacPherson Clan and to be part of the opening ceremonies on that day!

3. Why is this object important to you and what does it mean to you?
It’s important because it was a moment in time that I will always remember with great fondness to be able to take part in an important part of the NH Highland Games.

4. What does this object tell us about what it means to be a Macpherson?
I wasn’t born a Macpherson, but married a Clark, so to be able to be part of the clan feels like an honor and privilege to me. To be able to represent the clan that day in the march for opening ceremonies gave me a such a proud feeling.
